  • B.B. Simon (Tustin, CA): leather belts, purses and more, decorated with Swarovski Crystals--these are really spectacular, and unique.
  • CBH Studio (Ayer, MA): American-made, fun vinyl backpacks, lunch bags, and handbags for kids and teens
  • Cedar Key Canvas (Cedar Key, FL): handcrafted totes, purses, handbags, and luggage, made from canvas and tapestry with cotton webbing trim. Monograms available.

  • Black Hills Gold (Rapid City, SD): famous for its designs worked with colored gold (including rose and green gold), all Black Hills Gold jewelry is made in the area with gold mined in the Black Hills.

  • Hand & Hammer Silversmiths (Woodbridge, VA): wonderful collection of charms, bracelets, pins, and pendants, all made in USA from sterling silver or 24 kt gold.
  • Holly Yashi (Arcata, CA): unique jewelry handcrafted in northern California using sterling silver, gold overlay, and--more interestingly--niobium, a light-weight metal that is oxidized using a special process to create a rainbow palette of colors. Really beautiful and airy designs.
  • Lovell Designs (Portland, ME): discovered on a recent trip to Maine, these nature-inspired designs in silver and gold must be seen to be believed.

  • Shelby Gem Factory (Shelby, MI): man-made rubies and sapphires, plus simulated diamonds and emeralds, made at their factory in Shelby and set by their jewelers in 14K gold.
  • The Silver Dragon (Warwick, RI): sterling silver jewelry in a wide array of unusual motifs, including Renaissance, Celtic, crosses, and Wicca. Some styles offer a choice of natural stones.
  • Shinola (Detroit, MI): American-made dress watches (believe it!) for men and women, hand assembled in Detroit from 84 Swiss-made components. Leather bands are made from American leather and stitched in Florida.

  • Cabot Hosiery Mills (Northfield, VT): makers of Darn Tough Vermont all-weather performance socks of high-density knit with arch and ankle support, in Merino wool and Coolmax.
  • Crescent Hosiery (Niota, TN): the oldest continuously operating hosiery mill in the US, Crescent is the maker of World's Softest Sock brand of men's and women's casual and dress socks, knit from acrylic/nylon blends. Classic and Sensitive Collections are made in Niota, TN. (Spa and Everyday Collections are imported)
  • E.G.Smith : cotton tights and socks, made in USA
  • Farm to Feet (Mt. Airy, NC): wonderful wool socks for men and women, made in the U.S. with U.S. materials. A friend gave me a pair of these socks, and they are my favorites for winter! I had forgotten how much warmer wool socks are than cotton.Stephanie-Tested!
  • Fox River Mills (Osage, IA): makers of the classic "red heel" socks (famous as working socks and Sock Monkeys!), Fox River also has a wide variety of outdoor and sports socks of wool, cotton, and Ingeo (a corn-based fiber). Socks for men, women, and kids.
  • Hue (Greensboro, NC): nylon/spandex tights that have a wonderfully substantial feel and shine. Lots of fun colors.(seach for "made USA")

  • Socks4Life (Charlotte, NC): a great online retailer that specializes in American-made socks for men, women, and kids. The very few imported items are noted in product descriptions. Stephanie-Tested!
